My XV950 Bolt ECU programming (Re-Flash) includes
Tuner no longer needed... Reprogramming now includes fueling changes.
1) Fix all inherent fueling problems inside the
(the ones that cannot be fixed with an external fuel tuner)
Disable fuel cut - ie; Jerky
know what "fuel cut" is?
a) Gets rid of poor throttle transitions from closed
b) Gets rid of annoying popping and banging during decel and also when
re-applying the throttle from closed.
c) Throttle modulation is noticably improved over what can be achieved
with a fuel tuner alone.
d) Throttle feels much smoother when re-applying from closed position.
3) Complete re-curve of ignition timing
a) Gets rid of part throttle timing retarder for more
response and less vibration when cruising and moderate acceleration.
b) Gets rid of high rpm timing retarder allowing the engine to make
maximum power for longer.
c) Set timing for maximium power and driveability across the entire
rpm range & all throttle positions
d) Adjust timing to be the same for all gears.
4) Raise rev-limit in all gears to 7100 rpm
5) Anything that compromises performance and/or driveability is eliminated.
6) Reduced running temperatures.
7) Reduced heavy engine braking on decel.
(More relaxed gear changes and throttle modulation
at all speeds)
8) Free upgrades
when/if we make improvements.
9) Return your ecu back to stock at no charge for any reason.

Remember that these are only full throttle tests and do not reflect
any driveability improvements
This bike is very restricted in "as delivered" condition
This chart shows the ECU power restrictions removed without any fueling
With fueling corrections added & ECU flash, the gains
are even more significant
After seeing the above charts,
This is why a fuel tuner alone cannot offer what is needed to make this
bike perform correctly
The stock ECU is too restricted for fuel adjustments alone to
correct it's problems

The airbox is very restrictive on
the Bolt (8-9hp)
If you want all the power, an air filter kit is a requirement
Stock muffler is not as restrictive as one might think
Slip-ons still give 4-5 hp in the midrange and appx 2hp at high revs
V&H duals work very well on this bike
Slip-on systems seem to give the most overall power increase
on this model......
A whopping 23 hp @ 6500 rpm!!
